CDR Oliver G. Everette

Oliver G. Everette (nicknamed Jack) was born August 25, 1937 in Beach, ND, and died May 10, 2020 in Concord, CA. Born to Norma M. Carlson and Oliver P. Everette, he was the oldest of four siblings, Elaine Mavis, Paul and Ester. He was the husband of LRWF member Pat Thomson Everette, and a former associate member of Ygnacio Valley Republican Women Federated. 

A graduate of Oregon State University, Oliver was a NROTC cadet. His nuclear submarine service included deployment on the USS Sea Dragon-584, USS US Grant-631 and the USS James Monroe-622. He went on to become project manager of the Trident and Ballistic Missle Program from 1973-1981.  He was subsequently transferred from Washington, DC, to Concord where he was the Executive Officer at the Concord Naval Weapons Station until he retired in 1985.  He received numerous awards during his 28 year career including the Naval Defense Service Medal, Navy Unit Commendation, Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal. Pat and Oliver had two children—Michelle Malia and Mark Oliver.   The Ouimet Bros. Funeral Home, Concord, is in charge of arrangements.
