GOP Hosts Dinner To Benefit Ukraine

The Contra Costa County Republican Party hosted a dinner at Zio Fraedo’s in Pleasant Hill this week to benefit Ukraine. Matt Shupe, Contra Costa GOP chair, reported the event raised $25,000 for a non-profit that aides the Ukrainian effort.

Dmytro Kushneruk, Ukrainian Consul General in San Francisco, was the guest speaker. He related the consulate’s work to help potential refugees and to support the ongoing efforts. In addition, Oleksii Chuiko of Oakley, a Ukrainian-born citizen who is the Republican candidate for Congress in District 10, addressed the more than 150 people present.
