President Gordon: LRWF Plans, Activities Continue

Dear Lamorinda Republican Women, 

Just a word to let you know that our club is together, and engaging in interesting activities. We have been holding Zoom meetings that are very successful. Our committee chairs have been giving us updates and reports.

Our legislative Chair, Camille Giglio, reported on the Senate zoning bill, and the consequences of its possible passage. We have sent a letter in protest, related to the re-zoning of single family homes to commercial.  A terrible bill.  There are three  other bills, that are similar, and we oppose them all . Here they are: Assembly Bills 1020, 1085, 903, and 795. Camille has been very helpful in explaining the bills.

Our summer Conference begins on July 27.  For those not yet registered. there is still time to get involved.  Send a check for $40 to Catherine Smith, 3520 Twin Lake Ridge, Westlake Village, CA  91351. There will be wonderful speakers and workshops.!

We need volunteers to help on the telephone committee.  Please step up and give your support to our club.

Although times are difficult now, these problems we face , cannot go on forever!  Hoping you are all well! We hope to be back to our lovely lunches at Zio Fraedos.  We have booked two of the local candidates as our speakers for our September meeting.
