Support The GOP Lineup, Help Turn Our Districts Red

The Central Committee of the Contra Costa Republican Party this week endorsed four Republican candidates in local state and federal offices, reports Valerie Jo Remley, a Central Committee member and LRWF associate. Her rundown on the candidates are as follows and she urges Republicans to visit their websites and contribute to their efforts.

On the Federal level, Nisha Sharma (www.NishaForCongress.com) is running for Congressional District 11, currently held by Mark DeSaulnier.  This business-educated realtor and community leader has her finger on the pulse of the district.  Her priorities are the problems plaguing the Bay Area and the state: cost of living, infrastructure and homelessness.

At the state level, Julie Mobley (www.JulieForSenate.com) is running for State Senate District 7 (Concord, Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, east to Brentwood, south to Pleasanton) currently held by Steve Glazer.  On top of being an R&D engineer and project manager and mother, she found time to serve on the Civil Grand Jury of our county last year.  In that position, she gained extensive orientation to local government, cities and agencies, and the vital services that they provide.  Her Strategic Plan for California is driven by choices, innovation and results.  Engineers know how to solve problems.

Janell Proctor (https://proctor4assembly.com) is running for State Assembly District 14 (Clayton, Concord, Martinez, Pittsburg, Pleasant Hill, Rodeo, and 16.5% of Walnut Creek), currently held by Tim Grayson.  While working in the scientific technical field, she gives generously of her time to our party.  “The current super majority has resulted in excruciatingly high taxes, high cost of living, and violations of our constitutional rights,” notes Proctor. She will work for solutions that balance the health of our citizens with the health of our economy.

Joe Rubay (www.JoeRubay.com) is running for State Assembly District 16, (Alamo, Blackhawk, Danville, Diablo, Lafayette, Moraga, Orinda, Saranap, San Ramon, and most of Walnut Creek) currently held by Rebecca Bauer-Kahan.  A real estate appraiser and life-long resident of Alamo who has always been actively involved in his community, Joe knows his district from the inside out and is proud that his mother, Doris, was active in Republican Women Federated.  “With regard to housing, it is unconscionable that we have an incumbent who voted for rent control, particularly when our district voted overwhelmingly against it in 2018.”  Joe is a man of the people who represents the people of his district or, as he puts it, “East Bay’s choice for real representation”.

As CFRW President Sue Blair, said in our Summer Conference, “We are about electing Republicans”.  So, let’s support these successful and dedicated candidates to break the super-majority in Sacramento and flip our Congressional representation to red!
