The Illusion of “Green Energy”

The Times article: “Diablo Canyon…Its Time Has Passed,” recommended closing the long-time reliable nuclear power plant. It was mentioned that 8% of California’s power is reliably supplied by Diablo. The article stated that this large block of power is “crowding out” the potential of expanding “renewables.” In other words: reliable, affordable energy should be shuttered, to force a default to far more expensive and intermittent solar & wind. California’s mad push into “renewables” has made our electric rates 45% more expensive than the US average ( www.eia.gov/electricity/state/ ) With the great resources of CA’s hydro capacity, we should be among the cheapest.

Higher energy costs lower our standard of living and are especially hard on the poor. High energy costs are another factor causing business and jobs to leave our once, Golden State.

“Renewables” are an industry built upon subsidies & mandates due to the illusion of “catastrophic global warming” ( AKA: “Climate Change”) “Global Warming” is not based upon measurements, but on computer “models.” True Believers have not been bothered that there has been no measurable global warming since 1998! (Google: “Global warming pause.”) The models predicted ever accelerating, constant, warming for years. Observations prove the “models” and their predictions are totally wrong.
