Wuhan Lab: Another Conspiracy Theory Comes True
By Julie Lynch, LRWF Americanism Report, 3/16/23
Well folks, another conspiracy theory has come true. Recently the FBI and the Department of Energy have concluded that the covid pandemic likely originated from a lab leak in China. How many of you are shocked? You’re not alone - a recent Rasmussen poll finds that 66% of likely voters believe that the covid 19 virus originated at the Wuhan lab. Today Dr. Anthony Fauci is saying “we may never know the origins of the pandemic” and that we must keep an open mind to all possibilities. That’s interesting...Fauci’s mind wasn’t very open the past few years. But let’s back up. What do we know about the Wuhan Institute of Virology?
The Wuhan Institute of Virology was first started as the Wuhan Microbiology Lab in 1956. It changed names several times over the years, but in 2014, with technology and Funding from France, a BSL-4 laboratory was begun at the WIV. Safety concerns abounded. There was a shortage of trained technicians. Because of China's lack of transparency, the French design engineering firm refused to inspect or certify the building. (The American Spectator, 5/4/20).
In 2015 China reduced cooperation with France, and French intelligence warned the US State dept to stop funding this lab, calling it a ‘biological arsenal”. (Le Figaro, 3/5/21). By 2017 the French had been completely kicked out. According to our own State Dept. the Wuhan lab was engaged in classified military research.
Nonetheless, the U.S. poured money into the Wuhan lab for years. According to the Daily Mail, the Pentagon gave $39 million to a middleman called Ecohealth Alliance, which poured money into the WIV from 2013 - 2020. EHA received 64.7 m from the US agency for International development and $13 m from the NIH. Exactly how much of this taxpayer money went to Wuhan? We may never know. (Daily Mail,5/4/21)
Now we are learning that the Wuhan lab allegedly received double the funds from these research grants. Federal investigator Diane Cutler calls it a “potential theft of government funds.” This double billing could have run into the tens of millions, and Republicans are calling for an investigation. Even if proven, will China return the money? (Breitbart News, 3-14-23)
The BSL-4 lab went live in Jan. 2018. American scientists visited that month to observe operations. Horrified, they sent cables to Washington warning of serious safety concerns. They warned that the institute's work on coronaviruses posed the risk of a pandemic. Only 2 years later a deadly virus would emerge, killing 7 million people worldwide.
The new virus was covered up immediately. When 3 Wuhan lab researchers fell ill in Nov. 2019, the details were kept secret. Wuhan doctor Li Wenliang warned fellow doctors to wear protective equipment and was silenced by Communist police, who called him a rumor-monger. He later died of covid. According to the Business Insider, Chinese dissidents have been silenced, arrested, or simply disappeared after speaking publicly about the virus.
Detractors in the west fared little better. Anyone who maintained that the virus originated in the Wuhan lab was called xenophobic or a racist. Former CNN president Jeff Zucker called the lab leak theory a “Trump talking point” and told CNN employees not to investigate the matter. CNN’s culture writer called it a “fringe theory.” Joy Reid of MSNBC called it “debunked bunkum.”
Dr. Fauci commissioned and edited a paper disputing any sort of lab leak, and then cited that very paper as proof that there was no leak. According to Rep. Eric Schmitt of MO, “He (Fauci) didn’t want to be implicated in the lab leak so he dismissed it and smeared anyone who thought it plausible.” A similar situation occurred when the British journal The Lancet published a statement calling human engineering of covid a conspiracy theory. 27 scientists signed it. Who organized this? Yes, it was Peter Daszak of Ecohealth alliance, the organization that funneled taxpayer money from the Nih to Wuhan. (NY magazine, 2021)
In early 2020 Dr. Fauci claimed that covid was spread to humans through an infected animal. First he blamed bats, although no bat with the genetic sequence of Sars coV-2 has been found. He also blamed the local chinese wet markets, which were immediately shut down. But wet markets are seafood markets; they don’t sell bats. Other animals were variously named: pangolins, civets, otters. To this date no animal host has been found for covid 19. And it’s not for lack of trying. China has tested thousands of animals - pigs, goats, geese, dogs - with no luck. No one has found a direct progenitor of the virus. (MT Technology Review 3/26/21).
Newly unearthed emails, however, reveal that Fauci knew in Jan. 2020 that the virus appeared engineered. It had unique genetic sequences that could only have been manipulated by humans. Instead of disclosing this information to the American people, he covered it up with insults and censoring. Why?
Fauci has two big problems. First, he has to hide the evidence that his NIH financed the Wuhan lab. And second, he has to hide the fact that his NIH paid for gain-of-function research
at the Wuhan lab. Gain-of-function is a process whereby scientists genetically enhance a virus to make it more transmissible and more virulent. President Obama paused federally funded gain of function research in 2014, so Fauci had to offshore it. Why he picked a lab in the country of our geopolitical foe, China, is inexplicable.
Chinese virologist and covid specialist Li-Meng Yan has spoken with even more startling clarity. She stated after in depth research, “...the virus came from a Chinese Communist party military lab.The Wuhan wet market was just a decoy.” Yan fled to the US in April 2020 after showing her findings to her lab supervisor. He told her to keep silent and be careful. “I knew that once I spoke up, I could disappear at any time.”
Yan says that the CCP seeks economic destruction and social unrest in the US and covid-19 is a bioweapon. In 2021 she declared that the virus didn’t leak; it was intentionally released. The US scientific and medical communities absolutely vilified Yan. They called her a conspiracy theorist. All fact checkers declared her statements false. But often the louder the Left howls, the more likely something is to be true. Can it be possible that Yan is right?
We will learn the truth in time. But one thing is for certain. Now that several governmental agencies have admitted that covid was man-made, it is time for China to reap the consequences. Many individuals and states have already sued China. All nations need to place restrictive tariffs and sanctions on China, and kick them out of the WTO. Perhaps worldwide economic pressure would force them to pay damages. Furthermore, we need to bring jobs, manufacturing and supply chains from China to the US, and block their spying and theft.
Dr. Fauci, too, should face the music. He can be criminally charged for lying to congress. He can be civilly charged for wrongful death, pain and suffering, financial loss and more. Let’s see if our current elected officials can get justice and prevent another such travesty.
