GOP Women Salute Susan B. Anthony

This year members of the National Federated of Republican Women are celebrating the centennial of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. Known as the Susan B. Anthony Amendment in honor of the woman who worked long and hard for its passage, the amendment gives women the right to vote.  While Feb. 15 marks the 200th anniversary of her birth, she died 13 years before the 19th Amendment was ratified. Susan B. Anthony did vote, and she was arrested for this in the 1872 Presidential election. How did she vote? The straight Republican ticket.
