The Calm Before The Storm
By Kevin Kiley, Republican Assemblyman District 6, Congressional candidate District 3.
This was an action-packed last week at the Capitol. Next week will be as well. I’m spending the weekend knocking on doors, talking to voters.
Here's a brief overview of the legislative deadlines. And here are the worst remaining bills:
AB 2223 is in the Appropriations Committee. Watch my discussion with Charlie Kirk on the Charlie Kirk Show on rumble.com about the horror of this legislation. (Note: It would allow infancticide.)
AB 2098 is also in Appropriations.
AB 1479 is in Senate Education.
AB 2932, mandating a 32-hour work week, is in the Labor Committee. I discussed on Newsmax how this has again made California a national laughingstock.
Several awful bills are of course already dead (including the radical Vaccine Work Group bills).
This all comes at a moment of turmoil for the Supermajority: their botched attempt to butcher my gas tax bill, the implosion of the “Vaccine Work Group” bill package, Newsom backtracking on the student mandate, and the committee chair’s profanity-laden meltdown.
It’s what happens when corrupt politicians lose their grip on power. What’s changing the game is citizens getting involved like never before. That was the topic of my keynote address to the Foundation Freedom, A New Spark of Liberty.
Enjoy this beautiful Sunday. Our Capitol and campaign battles are both about to hit full throttle.
