Peter Kuo: 2022 Is The Year of The Parents’ Party

Peter Kuo delights the audience with his new, electric violin.

Peter Kuo, vice chair of the California Republican Party, described his personal battle with Covid-19 as well as the current political climate in the state at the General Meeting of Lamorinda Republican Women Federated today. He also related his family’s escape from Taiwan to San Jose 45 years ago when he was 14.

“The situation then is parallel to that of the truckers today. They confiscate your wealth by law. That’s what Communists do,” he said of the Canadian truckers. Because of what parents are learning about what is being taught in schools now, Kuo described 2022 as “the year of the parents’ party. They are angry and they are going to take back our schools.”

“What’s happening in American now is similar to what happened in Taiwan back then,” he continued. “The government used its power to take away our freedom. We are now seeing that here. It is destroying our country.”

On the positive side, he is confident Republicans will gain control of both the U.S. House and the Senate. Kuo, who as the state GOP vice chair since 2019 has been focused on voter registration, said statewide Republican efforts have resulted in an increase of more than 500,000 Republicans voters. In an effort to prevent fraud in the November elections, Kuo said election attorneys will be stationed at every polling place on election night.

Regarding his battle with Covid for two weeks last November, he was thankful for his faith and a gift of ivermectin for finally pulling him out of the critical depths of the disease.

Among his talents, Kuo is noted for his expertise with the violin. He explained that that children in Taiwan are asked at the age of 7 whether they wanted to play the piano or the violin. He asked his father which he should choose and his father told him one can always carry the violin on his back. And, yes, he does travel with his violin. He delighted the audience by accompanying them in signing the national anthem and at the concluding of his talk he gave a rendition of America The Beautiful and God Bless America.
