Kevin Kiley Book Signing In Concord
Assemblyman Kevin Kiley, who spoke at our October General Meeting, will be holding a book signing this Saturday, March 13, at Lima's Restaurant in Concord's Todos Santos Plaza from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. His timely book is entitled "Recall Newsom: The Case Against America's Most Corrupt Governor."
Kiley successfully prosecuted the legal case against Newsom for abusing his emergency powers and violating the Constitution in his response to Covid-19. In his book, the lawmaker points out that California's response to the pandemic has been the worst in America with incomparable economic destruction, loss of life and violations of democratic norms. Kiley traces these tragic outcomes to what he calls the lawless actions of the Governor who set out to use the virus to create "a new progressive era."
A graduate of Harvard University and Yale Law School, Kiley represents the Sixth District in the Assembly outside of Sacramento. A former high school teacher in South Central Los Angeles, he was elected to the state Assembly in 2016 and has won acclaim for his legislation to expand parental choice for underserved students. He serves as vice chair of the Assembly Education Committee.
